Holla! I'm Megan Star, owner and maker of Stitch Slapped Social, a lil hand embrodiery business. I am so excited that you have found your way to my blog! Here's a little about me and how I got into the stitchin' game!

I always wanted to be crafty but never thought I had the knack for it. I come from a long line of family members who were and are amazing makers, but I struggled finding the right craft for me. I decided to focus on my family, which includes my husband and our son, as well as my education. I ultimately received degrees and certificates in Marketing, TV Journalism, Graphic Design and Social Media. Yes, I was a go-getter, but I still had a deep desire to create! In 2016, I decided to try my hand at embroidering. Once I started stitching, I instantly took to it! I finally found my knack and it brings me so much joy! I decided to start my embroidery business, Stitch Slapped Social, in 2018 to share my love of crafting with others!

I specialize in stitch text and letterforms. I love stitching anything trendy, relatable and funny. Those living that mom life can relate to my designs. As well as those who love fashion, old school rap music, Texas and tacos! My designs include bold fabrics, bright threads, fun fonts and a whole lotta love!

I also take custom orders and  and teach workshops! This lets me connect with my followers and customers on a personal level. and share my love of stitchin' and bitchin' with others!
